It’s a New Year and time for new beginnings. Take a look at your life and see what you like about it. Come on, I know you can do it! Make a list of five things that are working for you and five things that you wish to transform. Remember, change isn’t really possible for most people. Learning coping strategies by cruising the Internet and reading books like Dr. Phil can help you in your quest for transformation of a negative situation.
Take a look at your love life. Do you have one? Do you want one? What do you want from someone else that will enhance both of your lives? What do you have to offer someone? Do have some kinks and fetishes that are important to you?
When I started dating again, it was important to me to find someone who was interested in coming along with me to fetish clubs, where people dance, dungeon play, and dress to the nines. So I got that out of the way right from the get go. If you’re with someone who is reluctant to try what you want to try or go where you want to go, and it bothers you, you may have to rethink the situation. After all, you wouldn’t want someone to force you to do something you don’t want to do.
Try to keep an open mind and open heart when you are dating. Try to throw away preconceived notions of what you want. If you are always drawn to a certain type, buy a clue. It’s obviously not working or you wouldn’t be here right now looking for someone new. Try dating against type and see how it goes. It could be a disaster but it might be great. Think about the Maury show and how sometimes he showcases total opposites. The combination of opposites may work well in some areas, but not always in others.
For instance, in the Kama Sutra, there is emphasis on having certain characteristics that are compatible or it will always be frustrating. People should have similar sex drives, stamina, and men with smaller penises should go for women with shallow vaginas. It can be hard to know how that’s all going to work out until you know someone for a while, but it’s something to bear in mind if some other things aren’t working so well.
On the New Moon, make some little lists from the questions suggested above and below. Light a white candle while you work. Write on tiny pieces of paper and roll them up. You can write one idea or a list, it doesn’t matter. Bear in mind you will be burning these so the smaller the better.
