Just looking for someone to hang out with and see where it goes from there.
My Ideal Person:
This write-up has been tough. Well, I'm old enough to have experienced a myriad of "types". I know more about what I don't want than anything else. I have had one meaningful relationship that ended over 10 years ago and have not dated since. Although, I'm interested in finding someone, I am not happy going to gay bars for that purpose. I also do not believe in "settling". I would rather go without and do it alone. After 20 years of being in the closet while in the military, it has been much harder to adjust to my new found freedom, than I imagined. My work environment doesn't open itself up for me to meet unattached available gay men. Most of my time is spent with my straight friends who insist that I'm great and have a lot to offer but I'm not going to find it by staying at home waiting for him to be delivered to my door. I have a pretty good life on my own but would like someone to be a part of it. I am "out" to my close friends and a few members of my family. If asked, I don't have a problem telling the truth. I do like men that are comfortable in their own skin, know what they want and where they are going. Top or Bottom, doesn't matter, just be a man. I like guys that take care of themselves. I'm not looking for perfection by any means; since the removal of my thyroid, I'm far from perfect, other than my snoring, no other medical issues. LOL. I do not smoke, drink once or twice a month, and try to stay as active as possible. I like camping, going out of town for the weekends, working on my house, I'm season ticket holder for the Kennedy Center. I've recently been 4-wheeling in my Wrangler for the first time and really enjoyed it, who knew?. I have 16-month old Boxer that is the center of my universe but there's always room for more.
