More and more men are discovering the power of Daddy/boy dynamics these days, judging from the number of young, muscled, collared boys out and about in the Castro and beyond. The older man/younger man pairing occurred at least as far back as Ancient Rome, so these stories are part of a rich historical tapestry. Next time you see an older, distinguished silver fox holding his younger blonde twink by the scruff of the neck, you'll recognize the dynamic for what it is: hot.

These stories fully explore both the keen erotic edge and the comfort found in Daddy/boy dynamics.

Barry Alexander's "Night Visit" is a daring superhero take, as a prodigal boy sidekick returns to his Adonis-muscled caped mentor, Bruce Wayne, to prove just how much of a man he has become, only to submit to the not-to-be-denied older man. The tension between the two men is palpable, and Bruce's bedroom talents are so masterful that this story is a dream come true for Batman/Robin fans.

Ever imagine being curled up by the fireplace reading, alternated with getting tied up and/or fucked, in a cabin where no one can hear but owls? A boy's dream, really. "Lost River" by Jeff Mann is a long, sumptuous weekend of D/s bliss between Daddy and boy, set in a Virginia mountain retreat. The boy, battling inner demons, finds catharsis at the hands of his capable Daddy, and this story even incorporates a bit of spiritual catharsis, as he uses being tied up and "abandoned" as a bit of sensory deprivation/meditation. This story is fully immersive, features extremely hot scenes and fucking, and meanwhile tugs at the heartstrings with its simple details of romantic everyday D/s ritual.

Veteran writer Simon Sheppard has a wonderfully unique take on Daddies in the wry and insightful "Daddy-O." The narrator encounters an older Beatnik poet in a series of vignettes and every detail is there: first as an undergraduate in his apartment, complete with pot, a Dream Machine, and worshipping the poet's "selfish" cock and his poetry; later, finding him as the beatific spiritual leader of a Haight Ashbury communal house, receiving an all-encompassing blowjob of a lifetime, when wishes to call the radiant poet "Father." Aside from the mind-exploding blowjobs, "Daddy-O" is poignant and moving about a generation which has lost so many.

"Moving Past Perfect" by Elazarus Willis is set at another idyllic mountain retreat, but in this one, the older proprietor has lost his partner of many years and is searching for a new manager. He finds a spectacular one in a gorgeous, dark-haired young man in his twenties, who shows up on his doorstep and expertly manages both the retreat center and the retreat owner's substantial sexual needs. An odd note, though, is that the former partner appears in the form of a ghost or encouraging presence throughout the story – especially during sex. Disconcerting as it may be to have that presence, the story is joyful and bittersweet, as the retreat transforms from a decaying reminder of a past relationship to a playground for the new couple.

Other stories have a darker, edgier tone. "The Die is Cast" by T. Hitman is a gritty and absurd story of a famous porn star bottom exacting revenge on his policeman ex-lover and ex-top by casting his massive member to preserve his "favorite part," and then (seemingly) killing him. The moody "Missing Daddy" by Xan West features a Daddy reflecting on an epic gangbang-in-the-park scene given to him by his own Daddy years ago, and relating to his own boys. Keith Peck's "Pillow Talk" is a filthy monologue given by a Daddy who picks up a boy at the docks, and blisters his ear alternating between scandalous dirty stories and forceful commands.

In sum, the stories in Daddies are all creative and hot reflections of the compelling force between Daddy and boy. You'll want to find a Daddy of your own by the end. Read and enjoy the salt-and-pepper beards, the hot young things, the "old man" and "bear cub," and the sensational sex.
