need HELP from HRH Crown subjects.....

Ok I dug out a 1977 UK Crown.

To commemorate HRH Queen Elizabeth's 25th anniversary of her coronation.

MY QUESTION... since I wasn't around at the time....

Is that portrait of the queen the one that hung in the government buildings of the time period???? I like the colors and it goes well with the décor where I plan to hang it.

Yes the "green" remindes me of certain lizards and the crown a reptiod protrusion common with that species ,

I don't think that there is a singular Government approved portrait of the Queen. The portrait that you are asking about is currently in the keeping of the Regimental Museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Stirling, Scotland.

I have no idea when this picture was made. If I had to guess, I would say late 1950's to mid 1960's (58-66). But knowing my ability to judge women, I could be off by 10 years at both ends.

Screw the portrait, Why not hang the Queen instead?

We all love the Queen.
Now Charles - that's a different story.

You need to skip Chuckles and go straight to Harry.. Now he'd be a fun monarch to have.

You'll soon see what I will do to her and display her coins of the realm around here.
