While I was stationed at NTTC Corry Station in Pensacola, Fla. I went UA. Unauthorized Absence or AWOL. I think i took off for about 30 days. While I was gone there had been a Change of Command. I was 19 and had been in the Navy about a year. Why I left and what happened during that time is another story. Anyway, I was going to be the first sailor to go to Captains Mast under the new Command. There were about a half a dozen or so other guys with me that day. After hearing the case and my statement the new Commanding Officer sentenced me to 30 days in CCU or Correctional Custody Unit. It was considered a reformative punishment as opposed to being sent to the brig. There wasn't much difference in the setting except in CCU the individual cells weren't shut and locked. And instead of sitting around all day playing cards we had to work all day and excercise and basically repeat bootcamp. The previous Captain had not used this as a sentencing alternative, so it was a pretty new idea and their wasn't much information about the place. After being there about a week, the Captain came out and visited. He wanted to have an individual chat with the guys he had sent there to check on their progress. Before our chat was over I knew he was gay, and I knew I could get out of this sentence. He told me he thought I was redeemable and that he sent me there to give me a second chance. I was in danger of loosing my top secret clearance that up until now had not been approved yet. I also could be taken out of the advanced electronics program that I was enrolled in. He made a second visit the following week and by then I had been fantasizing about him, so I was very friendly during our chat. He told me was pleased with the reports of my progress. On day 18 the Master Chief of the Command showed up and took me back to the base. My sentence had been reduced to time served. Because my class had moved ahead of me while I was away, I had to wait for a new class to begin. So for a couple of weeks I was assigned to a janitor type assignment at the Quarterdeck. It was where the Commanding Officer and his staff were located. We saw each other everyday. Occasionally he would invite me into his office for a chat. We had lunch together in the enlisted mess 2 or 3 times. One day I had mentioned to him that I was having a problem with a roommate of mine. By the time I got to my room that afternoon, my roommate had been moved out. There were already homosexual rumors about the Captain going around. He was unmarried and drove a champagne pink cadillac and he was seen with young sailors all the time. I rode with him in his car a couple of times to go shopping at the base grocery store. We generally talked about regular things. The subject of homosexuality came up during one of these grocery trips. He had told me that the Navy was full of homosexuals and all that they asked is that you weren't overtly homosexual. I knew he wanted to have sex with me but I didn't know how we were going to go about it. Eventually, I just drove out to his house on Pensacola Beach and knocked on his door. Since I had driven out to his house a couple of times before, technically I was a stalker, but really I was just scared. I knew he wanted me to show up and I did. Depending who you ask (Bill Clinton) "I did not have sexual relations with THAT man." but he did give great blow jobs! And I was once called "The Wizard of Blowjobs" by a guy who just happened to catch me at the right time and who had a perfect dick for sucking. Anyway, we had a mutually gratifying few get togethers over the next year. I received an invitation to his retirement ceremony a couple of years later, while I was stationed in Wash. D.C. I wasn't able to go because I was working on President Reagans' Innaugural Committee at the time , but I did see him again when I returned to Corry Station after doing a year on Diego Garcia. I was getting additional training in Tacintel Systems. This system was only used onboard ships, so I knew eventually I would finally get to go to sea. While I was stationed there I signed up for a class in Russian Language at Pensacola Junior College. The instructor was my old Commanding Officer and blowjob buddy, now retired. Alot had happened in my sexual life during the interem and I did not pursue our previous relationship. I was glad to see him again though, and I think the instructor/ student rolls suited us better than the lovers roll. We weren't really compatible sexually but I still remember fondly that time I was bumping uglies with my Captain.
