I wanted to let you know my prayers are with you, and his family.

Don't beat yourself up Richard. It is normal to lash out when one first hears of the death of a friend/relative. Now you have relegated to the real grieving process, and I am glad that you accepted to be a pallbearer. Be careful with Reggie's new truck. LOL!

There's always regrets and second guesses with those "what if"'s You must draw the line that you can't be everything to everyone all of the time. And others are responsible for their own actions irreguardless of your best intentions

I don't think you said how old the guy was. If he was getting up there in years, & in an unhappy relationship, only HE knew how he was feeling health wise, both physically & mentally. Maybe he saw it as an easy way out without having to deal with "anything".

Truth be known, I have experienced more than my share of loss in my life. But because of this, I try to make sure that the people I love and care for know they are appreciated, and that I am here if they need me. I completely understand your sentiment, and I even believe that as a whole, the human race seems to be losing its humanity. I just hope they find it again someday.
