$5 Pina Coladas

About 10 this morning the shit hit the fan here! JD walks in and tells me we're starting to plant corn--- NICE PLANNING AHEAD !!!

After tearing out several hands full of long golden locks !!!!

I swung into action making a bunch of sandwiches for lunch, packing a cooler full of pop-n-ice, filling another box with chips, snacks and candy bars. ALL this on top of needing to MOW the frigging yard. I did manage to get about 2/3s of the lawn mowed when I got a flat tire on the 425! I limped it back to the shop, took the wheel off, tossed it into the trunk of HIS car and dashed off for town. There seemed to have been a multitude of flat tires over the weekend whereby I was informed they could get a tube put into it by 10ish tomorrow.

As I started to drive to KFC I went past a Mexican Restaurant running a special on Margaritas and Pina Coladas which dam near brought me to a halt, however, my devotion to duty carried me through. The guys got their bucket of chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, biscuits, and baked beans. Thank The Almighty for KFC!

JD is still out planting as of this moment, no idea when he's calling it quits, I have several blog topics in the works but NONE in a presentable fashion. Point of contention if that Mexican place were still open I think I'd be in there splashing down pina coladas right now.

Sounds like a Monday from Hell to me. I just hope tomorrow goes a little bit smoother now that the initial "spring shock syndrome" is over with. One thing at least we are rid of the snow and we have pretty flowers out there to enjoy.

The life of a farmer is unpredictable; it depends so much on the whims of Ma Nature. Good on JD to seize the opportunity to get the corns planted. It's already getting late in the season. The temperature here is 33F with a rain/snow mix in the forecast for several days. Spring seeding has stopped.

How far north of the US border are you??? We have rain moving in our way with a 65% chance of rain tomorrow. Our temps have been pushing 70 F here or a few days.

I'm about 50 miles north of the US border, and we have had rain mixed with snow most of Tuesday. This cool wet weather is to continue for the next several days, as the moisture stream moves from west to east. I hope it doesn't interrupt your seeding operation, but it has shut down all the farmerizing around here.

Weather colder n wetter than usual here too. I usually avoid the tasty KFC due to the extra monosodium glutamate additives and mix my own custom form of shake n bake chicken spices made with natural ingrediants and a frozen blueberry ,with milk blender smoothie with stevia would be far better for your blood sugar than very high sugary pineapple juice.

We just got some sprinkles here ... not enough to shut us down but major front was building just a few miles north of us and heading your way.
