Bye Bye

Fidel Castro August 13, 1926 – November 25, 2016) Cuban politician and revolutionary who governed the Republic of Cuba as Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976 and then as President from 1976 to 2008. kicked the bucket. Politically a Marxist–Leninist and Cuban nationalist, he also served as the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba from 1961 until 2011. Under his administration Cuba became a one-party socialist state; industry and business were nationalized, and state socialist reforms implemented throughout society.

Cubans will likely forever remember where they were when Fidel Castro's death was announced. The music stopped across the dance-happy city and people rushed to awaken loved ones with the news. Parties shut down and the bustling streets emptied after President Raul Castro, Fidel's 85 year-old younger brother, made the announcement on state television around midnight Friday.

"With great pain I appear before you to inform our people and our friends in the Americas and the world that today, November 25 at 10:29 pm, the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, passed away," the president said.
He gave no details of the cause or circumstances of the death. It was assumed Castro died at his Havana home where he lived after stepping aside from power.

The government decreed nine days of mourning and ordered flags to be flown at half-mast. Castro's ashes will be buried in the historic southeastern city of Santiago de Cuba on December 4 after a four-day procession through the country, it added.

The end of an era and now the Cuban people might just break the chains and surge forward.---

I think the American mobsters played one hell of a role with the mess Cuba found itself with Batista enabling the very worst elements of Cuban society to call the shots We now have a golden opportunity through Trump to show them the benefits of decent capitalism, honest work and profits to enrichen their lives

I see it now they can have an oportunity to re-establish their own values upon themselves in Cuba and they don't need foreign intervention or values from either Russia or USA to establish the kind of society they see befit them even if it does not agree with your views because originally they started a revolution in the past got sideswiped by a dictator who made devils deal with Russia. They don't need any more devil deals with Mafia or USA either.Viva la revolution and the independence movement like Brexit right?

They might just like their little socialist paradise, however... greed is the best weapon against communism
