Birds of a Feather.....

The fat lady isn't singing yet for Bernie! Crooked Hillary's campaign which was already tainted by her own FBI investigation due to her illegal private email server, took another torpedo with the revelation that her top political ally Terry McAuliffe is also facing a criminal probe by the FBI. This is especially damaging just before the BIG convention in Philly.

Terry McAuliffe, Virginia's Democratic governor and chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential run, is under federal investigation over contributions to his 2013 campaign, CNN said on Monday, citing unnamed U.S. officials.

The U.S. Justice Department's year-long investigation has focused, at least in part, on whether contributions to McAuliffe's gubernatorial campaign, including $120,000 from a Chinese businessman, Wang Wenliang, violated the law, according to CNN.

Investigators have "scrutinized" McAuliffe's time as a board member of the Clinton Global Initiative, part of the charitable foundation set up by former President Bill Clinton, CNN said, citing unidentified government officials briefed on the case.

McAuliffe spent at least 15 years as an unpaid director for the foundation, now known as the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, until 2013, according to the charity's annual disclosures filed with the Internal Revenue Service

McAuliffe is also named in a lawsuit GOP leaders are filing in the Virginia Supreme Court, they say McAuliffe violated the separation of powers by effectively suspending the state's ban on voting by felons. They say McAuliffe is ignoring decades of practice, which has made clear that governors can restore voting rights only on a case-by-case basis. The governor's blanket order entitles every Virginia felon to vote, to run for public office, to serve on a jury and to become a notary public upon the completion of his or her sentence and any supervised release, parole or probation requirements as of April 22.

"Gov. McAuliffe's executive order defines the plain text of the Constitution, flouts the separation of powers, and has no precedent in the annals of Virginia history. The governor simply may not, with the stroke of the pen, unilaterally suspend and amend the Constitution," the lawyers wrote in the suit.

NO State in the Union allows a "blanket Amnesty" by the Governor. Each case of re-enfranchisement is always on a case by case basis. This also makes it easier for ex-felons to have their gun rights restored! The McAuliffe administration estimates this convicted felon population to include about 206,000 people most of whom are expected to vote Democrat.

Terry learned from the "best". Will be interesting to see what happens. Will he be "sacrificed" but if so talk about a double standard.

Not even the president can issue a blanket pardon when it comes to convicted felons. Each case is screened by a panel before even being presented for clemency.
