Andrew Jackson—a South Carolinian of poor, Scots-Irish immigrants—was orphaned in his early years while fighting in the Revolutionary War. During the war, Jackson received a scar across his head from a sword because he refused to clean a British officer’s boots, an act of defiance and physical courage that would become a hallmark of the adult Jackson’s persona. Despite his difficult beginnings, Jackson, a true self-made man, became a merchant, lawyer, judge, general, congressman, senator, and President of the United States (two terms) over the course of his lifetime.

Though Jackson was locally famous on the western frontier and in his adopted state of Tennessee, he rose to national fame in his forties when he dramatically lead a ragtag band of militia, regular soldiers, freed slaves, and pirates to victory against the British in the Battle of New Orleans. That battle capped off the War of 1812 with the most resounding military victory for the United States between Yorktown and Gettysburg. This single battle turned a war full of setbacks into a “Second War for Independence,” and its anniversary used to be celebrated by Americans as a national holiday, similar to the 4th of July.

Now a pack of handwringers and willy nilly liberal History "modifiers" want a woman on the $20 bill. To them life time accomplishments and service to our country takes a back seat to the fact that all they need is a vagina between there legs.. The organizers are putting together a petition to pressure President Obama, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, and Congress to change the $20 bill. This week, Senator Jeanne Shaheen , a democrate from New Hampshire introduced the Women on the Twenty Act, legislation aimed at putting an American woman on the $20 bill. Shaheen's efforts nod to an initiative by Women on 20s, a group that is lobbying to change the $20 by 2020. That year Americans will mark the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment, which granted women the right to vote. (The $20 is also overdue for a redesign to thwart counterfeiters.)

Of the list of pussy possessors NOT a single one was ever in the military service or even so much as held a political office.

Eleanor Roosevelt, Lesbian wife of F.D. Roosevelt.. popular choice and YES she is white.... That will be a drawback for support from the current administration

Harriet Tubman wandered around out in the woods at night ... black so the current administration will go for it.

Rosa Parks didn't want to ride on the back of a bus... also black.. a bit better looking than Tubman with a modernish look

To satisfy the native Americans who lately have been feeling a bit left out
Wilma Mankiller a squaw who wanted to be a Chief.

You'd think our country learned it's lesson back in the 80's when they tried to push that ugly old hag Susan B Anthony down the throats of the American people.

I have a compromise....... let's DROP the Whitehouse OFF the back of the $20 and put a woman who earned national fame and fought along side her husband in the Revolutionary War! SHE EARNED HER KEEP!

I am talking about Molly Pitcher.... born Mary Ludwig circa October 13, 1754, near Trenton, New Jersey. During the American Revolutionary War's Battle of Monmouth, she carried pitchers of water to soldiers, thereby earning her nickname. After her husband collapsed during the battle, she took over the operation of his cannon. An eye witness stated her husband collapse at his cannon, unable to continue with the fight. She immediately dropped her water pitcher and took his place at the cannon, manning the weapon throughout the remainder of the battle until the Colonists achieved victory. According to the National Archives, there was a documented witnesses to Pitcher's heroic acts, who reported a cannon shot passing through her legs on the battlefield, leaving her unscathed:

"While in the act of reaching a cartridge ... a cannon shot from the enemy passed directly between her legs without doing any other damage than carrying away all the lower part of her petticoat. ... She observed that it was lucky it did not pass a little higher... and continued her occupation."

Pitcher remained with the Continental Army until the war ended, then moved back to Carlisle with Hays in April 1783. Following her husband's death, she married a war veteran named John McCauley and worked in the State House in Carlisle. She was honored by the Pennsylvania Legislature in 1822 for her wartime services, receiving an award of $40 and an annual commission of the same amount for the rest of her life.
She died in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, on January 22, 1832.

Those liberal modernist chuckleheads have overlooked the very best woman suited for representation on our money. It takes more than just a cunt to get on a banknote in my book. Let's keep Andrew Jackson and honor a Great American Woman who has proven her worth to our Founding Fathers Club

If you are referring to the Daily Beast contributor Arthur Chu's article titled “The Mass Murderer on Your $20” I discount his "historical" revisionist's views from the 21st century ad suggest you read a more historically correct article based on the actions and times of Jackson.---Keep Andrew Jackson on the $20 Bill--- Breibart

Suggesting that I am a part of the "religious right" is foolhardy at best. Chuckleheads are those who ignore the qualifications required for any person to be placed on the Currency of the USA. Those high standards demand more than just a life support for a vagina. Many conservatives also happen to be more in tune with the financial issues of governing than the petty social issues purported by either side in their attempts at forcing conformity on others.

Oh Bretty. You really shouldn't mix your booze and pills so often. Sometimes when you do, you post crazy things like this.
