Has this happened to you? Serious Question

Someone writes with a subject line like "Hello."

Or maybe straight to the short and uninformative text, where t
he first four words are the subject line:

"I like your profile. I want to know more about you. Please
send your e-mail address."

That has happened to me several times lately with the
same pattern:

1. No information about the writer, nothing to entice a
response as if they actually want a hookup.

2. As for MY e-mail address, but do not send theirs to
make it easy to show interest.

3. And here's the kicker-- No, they have NOT looked at
my profile.

Since they are writing apparently at random, almost as if
from a phishing/spammer script of some sort, and show
no reason for me to believe they are interested and certainly
do not SAY what they are interested in... No I do not reply.

One time I did write back and ask a question or two,
the reply was about the same as what he wrote to begin
with, which was already mostly boilerplate from his profile
and added nothing even if true.

And it was basically a semi-literate (ESL?) ungrammatical,
misspelled announcement that he wanted to know more
about me.

Not gonna happen.

Totally apart from not being the age, size, or shape of
everyone's wildest fantasy, someone who really wants to
bed me or dick me in some way needs to put more into
the seduction/enticement effort than ask me to open up,
starting with my e-mail address.

Even for you dudes who are worthy of a photospread or
model contract with Manhunt, would a message like that,
from anyone, get you to answer?

If you see a profile of someone who is a possible Candidate
for playtime, if you decide to write first, don't you say
something about yourself you think the guy might like?
Don't you try to give the dude some reason to respond?

Have you heard from people who Like Your Profile but
have not looked at it?
