Gay/same sex marriage = bride and groom

I was up early Monday morning because I awakened and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I would normally have to get up soon anyway to get Husband off to work.
I was watching the CBS morning news and there was a story about gay marriage and gave a statistic. Since same sex marriage was made legal by the SCOTUS, many gay couples have become legally married and the poll was about what percentage of gay couples that live together are now legally married.
49% was what they showed for couples taking advantage of the law.
With my husband and me we are a man and woman in wedlock and do not consider ourselves a gay couple. Even though I had to use my real male name to be legal and it has to be same sex when applying for our marriage license and show male ID, we consider me a woman and the wife. At the Clark County Courthouse in Las Vegas same sex is the way it is on record with my male name on it but at our wedding chapel which is sanctioned for gay marriage they extended me the courtesy of recognizing me as a woman, using my female name, referring to me as the bride and after the ceremony announcing me as Mrs. They also made us up a frameable marriage certificate with my female name on it and naming me as the bride and wife. That was because we were paying for the wedding so they gave us what we wanted. We had like a traditional hetero wedding that had a bride and groom that would become husband and wife.
I was a bit shy at first requesting a marriage ceremony like this but I was told that we were not the first gay couple to ask for this. There have been other transwomen and shemales being a bride and marrying a man and becoming a wife and Mrs.
I do remember watching the news right after the SCOTUS decision and the broadcast was from New York and it was wedding day at the Old Stonewall. It showed the bar in the background and I did see a transwoman in a long white dress and fixed up like Marilyn Monroe walking around in the background and then she and a man entered the bar where the marriage services were taking place. ‘She’ was very passable as a woman.
So now it is possible for a man and a transwoman/shemale to become bride and groom and husband and wife, legally, and some are taking advantage of it.
